Bangkok, Thailand is famous for its grand temples. Whether you're new to Buddhism and Thailand's elaborate architecture or not, I gotta say that a trip to its wats is among the list of must-do activities when you're traveling (and taking a break from shopping-- more on this later) in Bangkok. One of my favorite wats is the Wat Phra Chettuphon Wimon Mangkhlaram Ratchaworamahawihan (Whew! That was a mouthful!) located in Phra Nakhon district. To make things easier, tourists call it Wat Pho for short.
Batanes' charm lies not only in its breathtaking sights, but also in its people. The Ivatan hospitality makes the outsider feel at home. And believe the woman who's been here four times already (ehem), this place is like heaven-- zero crime rate, kind-hearted people and giggling kids!
Who wouldn't resist cute chinky-eyed kids with smiles plastered on their faces all the time?
I was lucky to have met lots of Ivatans, but this boy's my favorite. He's not only charming, but he's the friendliest of them all :)
